Adverbs of place 地点副词告诉我们某事发生的地点。这些包括: 上面，下面，到处，里面，前进，外面，上坡，等等。这一组中的各种副词使我们能够准确地解释一个动作的位置(或移动)。大多数副词以‘-ly’结尾，但地点副词不以‘-ly’结尾。
有些位置副词也起介词的作用。例如，副词“ down”可以是介词和副词。它在句子中的位置告诉我们 down 是作为介词还是副词。记住副词放在动词后面，并描述它是如何做的。而介词放在名词前面，不用来描述动词。比较下面两个例句:

Anywhere, somewhere, elsewhere, everywhere
这些副词表示不确定的位置。虽然它们看起来很相似，但它们的意思却不同。“Everywhere”意味着某种东西无处不在。“ Anywhere”用于否定句和疑问句，而不是“ everywhere”。“ Elsewhere ”指的是另一个地方，“somewhere ”指的是一个物体在一个未知的地方。比较下面的例子:

副词‘ inside’和‘ outside’的功能相似。这些副词也可以表示动作，例如“ i’m going outside”意思是我正从一座建筑物中移动到另一座建筑物外面。

在肯定句中使用 somewhere，在否定句中的使用 anywhere 。这两个副词有不同的意思。Anywhere 通常用在否定句中，表示宾语（物品）找不到，例如: i can’t find my keys Anywhere。
